Moving far from home is can be an isolating experience. But if you find people who treat you like family, home doesn’t feel so far away. And that’s what happened to Eduardo Ong, a Customer Service Representative from our Las Vegas Experience Center, when he joined Everise.
Eduardo is originally from the Philippines but moved to the United States in 2017. Like many Filipinos, he was looking for ways to help his family and finish his studies.
“I was born and raised in the Philippines. We moved here in the United States in 2017. My initial goal arriving here in the United States is, of course, to work and help my family and at the same time finish my studies. So right now, I’m working full-time, and I’ve been saving up to fund my schooling.”
Even though Eduardo is miles away from his home country and family, he doesn’t feel that homesick because of his Everise family in Las Vegas.
“They help me feel like I’m not away from my family because everybody here feels like a family. We’re different color and different culture, but they treat as a family, so I don’t feel homesick or anything like that because they are so down to earth.”
Another thing that Eduardo appreciates form his Everise family is the spirit of camaraderie among everyone.
“They will help you all throughout. If you have a problem, you can easily approach someone, and they are always there for you to help you. They made me feel at home and this is the best place to work with, so far.”
