William Foo is the Chief Financial Officer for Everise, with more than 17 years of experience in senior management and finance roles within large multinational conglomerates. He is also a Chartered Accountant of Singapore. His responsibilities encompass the group’s financial, contractual and risk management matters which also covers Everise entities in the USA, Philippines, Guatemala and Malaysia. William also leads the mergers and acquisitions function of the group. Most recently, he led Everise’s acquisition of Southeast Asia’s leading Conversational Artificial Intelligence company, Hyperlab.
Prior to Everise, he was engaged with Knowledge Universe Global as its Chief Financial Officer. He led a team that sold the highly successful pre-school and international school businesses in Asia to two private equity companies. Shortly after, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Stone Canyon Industries (Asia), a global industrial investment company based in Los Angeles, California. In 2009, he joined Keppel Integrated Engineering (now Keppel Infrastructure), the Environmental Engineering arm of Keppel Corporation—one of Singapore’s largest conglomerates. For nearly three years, he was based in Brussels, Belgium as their Group Financial Controller for their European headquarters.
After earning his Honors degree in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, he started his career with Deloitte & Touche LLP Singapore in 2002 where he spent nearly seven years managing financial audits of large companies in various sectors. During his tenure, he also trained associates and senior associates and was awarded Deloitte Singapore’s Best Trainer in 2008.
Outside of his duties as CFO, William enjoys travelling with his wife. He also loves a good round of badminton.
